Our Mission:

Doo Care is a professional pet waste removal company dedicated to helping residential and commercial customers keep their yards free from pet waste. Doo Care is an environmentally conscious company, helping preserve water and land by managing and disposing of pet waste in an environmentally appropriate manner.

Our Team:

At Doo Care, we know that a service business is about people, and Doo Care is a business that was formed by successful entrepreneurs and executives, who have built their careers in the service sector. We've cut our teeth in major service companies, including hotels, real estate, senior care, cable television and airlines. We understand that customer service will make or break a service business.

Our decades of experience in the service sector taught us an undeniable truth. A service business is only as good as the people working in it. This is why Doo Care only hires best-of-breed employees, who all undergo extensive background checks and training. We treat our employees well, and we expect them to meet our high standards of customer satisfaction.

Also, we feel good about what we do. It's not about dog poop. At Doo Care, we work hard to provide dog waste solutions that improve the environment and provide families with clean and healthy yards. We support both national and grassroots non-profit organizations to raise awareness of both pet causes and environmental protection. In the end, we want to make our local communities a better place to live.

Management Backgrounds:

Ray Hays, CFE, President and CEO, DC Franchising LLC

Ray Hays is a franchise executive with over 17 years of management experience in service franchises. Mr. Hays has served in a range of management roles, including franchise development, marketing, sales, operations, technology services and franchise support. He has worked with market leaders in the franchise services sector, including New Horizons Computer Learning Centers®,AlphaGraphics®,Comfort Keepers®,Marriott® and Choice Hotels International®. He is currently Managing Partner of Envoy Investments LLC, which is a shareholder in the franchisor of Doo Care, DC Franchising LLC. Mr. Hays holds an International MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a Bachelors in International Affairs from Georgetown University. Mr. Hays has earned the designation of Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) by the International Franchise Association.

Nat Truitt, Founder & Chairman

Nat Truitt is a successful entrepreneur and investor, who has a strong track record as both an independent business owner and as a franchisee. Mr. Truitt is the Founder of Doo Care and Owner of Doo Care in the metro Chicago area, where he plays an active role in the business. He is also Chairman of the franchisor, DC Franchising LLC. Additionally, Mr. Truitt is the Owner and President of Always There Resources, Inc., a homecare company in Glen Ellyn, IL. From August 2001 to January 2004 Mr. Truitt was the Owner and President of Glenbard Homecare, Inc., Glen Ellyn, IL, a franchisee of Comfort Keepers® senior care services.

Everett Casey, General Counsel and Board Member

Everett Casey is an attorney with over 34 years of experience in franchise law, primarily as in-house counsel for Choice Hotels International, Precision Tune Auto Care®, and Sandler Sales Institute®, as well as counsel for several start-up franchisors.  Mr. Casey has lectured on franchise law at the International Franchise Law and the Maryland State Bar Association, and has assisted his clients in setting up over 3,000 unit franchises in addition to master franchises in over 30 countries.  Mr. Casey holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from the College of William and Mary, and a Juris Doctor degree from George Washington University.

Troy McLain, Director and Board Member

Troy McLain is an executive and entrepreneur, who has developed successful franchised and independent businesses. He is equity holder and Board Member of DC Franchising LLC. Mr. McLain is also the principal equity holder of two businesses providing senior care and emergency response services in the Tucson, AZ area. From February 2003 to present, Mr. McLain has served as President of Response Systems Inc, DBA Health Watch® Tucson, AZ, which is a distributor of emergency monitoring systems. Since October 2002, Mr. McLain has also been the Tucson, AZ franchisee for Comfort Keepers which is a non-medical senior care franchisee. Previously, from January 2001 to September 2002, Mr. McLain served as Director of Operations of Cox Communications®, Tucson, AZ.

Meaghan A. Hays, Director of Marketing

Meaghan Hays is a marketing and advertising professional, with experience in a wide range of marketing projects servicing various industries, including cable television, higher education and real estate companies. She is currently Managing Partner of Envoy Investments LLC, a shareholder of DC Franchising LLC. Ms. Hays has worked on advertising projects for major clients, including the University of Phoenix®, Sotheby's®, Comcast®, Time Warner®, Adelphia® and Cox Communications®. Ms. Hays' professional experience includes supervision of advertising and design teams, project management, client relations, website content, direct marketing, broadcast media and print advertising sales. She holds a bachelors in Urban Planning from Rutgers University.

Tonja Johnson, Manager of Tucson Operations

Tonja Johnson is an operations and customer service manager, with 30 years of experience in a variety of business sectors, including veterinary clinics, horse farms, cleaning services, senior care and Delta Airlines®. Ms. Johnson currently manages operations for Doo Care Tucson, including hiring and training new employees, customer service and office administration. She also provides training and support to Doo Care franchisees on operations and field services.
